The "We Pray for Japan" Prayer Bracelet is a rubber bracelet designed by Lady Gaga in due for a relief fund for Japan. The white and red color scheme was inspired by the colors of the Japanese flag. On the 71st issue of V magazine, Gaga wore the bracelets in various photos.

The red lettering reads: "日本の為に祈りを。" (Nihon no tameni inori wo) Which translates as "A Prayer for Japan."

Background and inspiration[]

A massive 8.9/9.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan at around 2:46pm (JST) on March 11, 2011. The earthquake created a 10 - 20 ft. tsunami, causing massive damage. Shortly after the disaster began to unfold, Lady Gaga began to design a prayer bracelet for her fans to show their support for the victims.

The bracelet itself is white in color. The lettering in red that reads, "WE PRAY FOR JAPAN" in English and Japanese Kanji. The lettering is accompanied by Gaga's Monster Paw signature.
{C}The prayer bracelet went on sale as a pre-order, but won't shipped until March 25.

On March 14th, 2011, Gaga sent out another twitter update about the prayer bracelet, reporting that the total profit to date is $250,000.
