Brooks Brothers

Brooks Brothers is the oldest apparel brand in continuous operation in America. It was founded in Manhattan, New York City in 1818 by Henry Sands Brooks (1772–1833), an American clothier and businessman. At the age of forty-five, he purchased a building on the corner of Cherry Street and Catherine Street in Manhattan, where on April 7th, 1818, he opened H. & D. H. Brooks & Co.. Originally a family business, Brooks Brothers produces clothing for men, women and children, as well as home furnishings.
