In this month, Gaga did some shows for The Born This Way Ball in North America but had to cancel the remaining tour dates due to an injury in her hip.

Before performing her last song of the the entire tour, "Marry the Night", Lady Gaga made a small speech, saying:
- "I used to look out into the sky when I was a little girl. I used to dream that someday, if I worked hard enough, I would be a star. But I had no idea what that meant. I used to say this mantra to myself: 'Practice your piano, write your songs, never give up, go to dance class, practice singing, believe in yourself!' But I had no idea what was on the other side of that door to fame. It was you."
After she started singing, Lady Gaga saw a lot of fans in the Monster Pit wearing medical hair nets like she does in the "Marry the Night" music video. Most likely, it was a sign of fans' awareness of her hip injury and that it was the last show of The Born This Way Ball Tour because the following shows were cancelled due to hip injury. Pointing at fans wearing medical hair nets Lady Gaga said:
- "Thank you, thank you for doing that for me. 'Cause every time somebody told me 'no' just made me stronger. And I heard 'no' way more than I heard 'yes'. But you, you make me feel like I can do anything. 'Cause sometimes, we can all feel so broken, but we can fix each other."
At the very end of the performance Lady Gaga screamed: "Don't you ever fucking forget me!"

Lady Gaga met with a sick fan for a private meet and greet at a hospital in Chicago.
It was announced later that night that Gaga had to cancel the rest of the Born This Way Ball to heal from her injury.
