2011

Collaborations with Tom Tom Fashions

They made together a 'Born This Way' jacket [A] in December of 2010. The following collaboration was the Apostles jackets featured in the Judas music video [B]. Later, they made a pair of boots along with a jumpsuit by Mugler to which Tom Tom Fashions added gold items into it for Good Morning Americaon May 27 [C].

GL10 Instant Mobile Printer

The GL10 Instant Mobile Printer is one of the three products thats part of the Polaroid Grey Label by Haus of Gaga and Polaroid. It is compatible with all Bluetooth capable cellphones except iPhones, which wil not connect for unknown reasons. The GL10 also works seamlessly with its own smartphone app giving phone users many creative options. The app lets users capture, crop and add effects, including photographic filters and a wide range of custom-designed borders.[1]

How it Works

If a photo is taken on a cellphone with bluetooth capability, then it can send pictures to the printer. You have to go to your 'Manage Connections' and turn bluetooth on. Then you go to 'Set Up Bluetooth' and search for the device. The device name is "Polaroid 000000". Send a photo using Bluetooth to the printer, insert the password, and in about 40 seconds the picture will be printed. A USB cord can also be connected that allows printing photos from computers or the GL20 Camera Glasses.

Background

During Lady Gaga's speech at the CES 2011, Lady Gaga revealed the inspiration for this printer. When Polaroid asked Lady Gaga what the camera of the future is, Gaga responded that cellphones were. She went on to explain, "I have tons of fans. I have arena shows every night with 20,000 thousand little lights flashing at me as they take pictures on their cell phones the entire show. So I said 'How can we bring the cell phone into Polaroid? How can I take something that is digital, that is almost never printed, into something that is instant? ' So we created this printer."

GL20 Camera Glasses

The GL20 Camera Glasses is one of the three products that's part of the Polaroid Grey Label by Haus of Gaga and Polaroid. They were inspired by the iPod LCD Glasses.

How it Works

They are capable of being worn out in public. They can take pictures and videos. The pictures are able to be sent to the GL10 Instant Mobile Printer. The pictures and videos register to the arm-piece which serves as a USB port that can be removed and connected to a computer. Videos and photographs can be uploaded onto the camera for display. The user can either manually take pictures or set up a shutter that snaps a photograph either every 10, 30, or 60 seconds.

Background

During Lady Gaga's speech at the CES 2011, Gaga revealed the inspiration for the glasses. "These are something I envisioned many years ago when I did The Fame Ball Tour. I made these glasses out of iPod screens (iPod LCD Glasses) that I strung together to make glasses that can play movies, and I thought 'Wouldn't it be wonderful if these were functional.' So we created the first ever camera that is also sunglasses".

GL30 Instant Digital Camera

The GL30 Instant Digital Camera is one of the three products that's part of the Polaroid Grey Label by Haus of Gaga and Polaroid. It is set for a holiday 2011 release.

How it Works

The camera is able to take and view pictures before printing. It takes regular Polaoid pictures that registers digitally as well as a regular photo. Each cartridge can print up to ten photos. It is capable of sending the photos taken to social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and/or MySpace.

Born This Way motorcycle

The Born This Way motorcyle used on the front cover of the standard edition of the Born This Way album cover was custom made by Nick Gale Custom Cycles for the 2009 European Motorcycle Biker Build Off. Nick Gale gave the name "Predator" to his creation.

In order to create the cover, they shot Lady Gaga's body and the moto separetely and merged them with Photoshop afterward. Lady Gaga’s art directors took the liberty of digitally revamping the bike with Easy Rider flair, throwing on a big, Capt. America-style banana seat, switching out the exhaust to upswept ‘70s chopper-style pipes and removing the original chin spoiler from the front of the downtubes.

Vessel

The Translucent Vessel is an egg-shaped pod created by Haus of Gaga in collaboration with Hussein Chalayan. The Haus of Gaga came up with the idea while on tour in Amsterdam. Jim Henson Company took a month to construct it. It was used by Lady Gaga at the 53rd Grammy Award Ceremony. She was carried onto the red carpet while "incubating" inside of the vessel by her dancers, who were led on by a 'supermodel nurse'. Gaga remained inside of the vessel until her very first performance of "Born This Way", in which the top slid back and Gaga "hatched". While inside, it was necessary for Gaga to have an oxygen tank and mask in order to avoid suffocation due to the extended period of time she was in the pod. While on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Gaga said that she was inside for 3 days prior to the event. She also said that the vessel was temperature controlled. After the award ceremony, during an on-air interview with 103.5 KTU, Gaga said that the vessel is currently in an archive. The egg was reused for her performance om Saturday Night Live on May 22, 2011.

Laurie-Ann Gibson talked to Access saying “It’s actually a vessel.”

“She was incubating, in birthing the new race, she had to go through a DNA transition, so before she was born, we had to actually transfer her in a med box to keep the process going.”
“The vessel represents the incubation period. The time where you’ve got to deal with the pain, let it go… It’s a representation of what people feel every day.”
“What really shocks me is that [the media is] trying to break this thing down. You can’t break down greatness, you’re either in or your not!”

Medical box

Prior to the vessel, Gaga arrived at the Grammys inside of a translucent coffin called The Medical Box. The main difference between the two are the shapes of the vessels.

Boudoir organ

The Boudoir Organ is an organ played by Lady Gaga at the 53rd Grammy Award Ceremony. The concept comes from the lyrics of the song performed, "Born This Way". The organ solo that Gaga played at the ceremony was Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D minor", made famous through The Phantom Of The Opera (1962).

It was eventually used for the final leg of The Monster Ball Tour without the pipes.

Heart shaped sunglasses

Gaga’s Judas shades were hand made in solid 14K gold by Jacks Eyewear for Haus of Gaga.

Lipstick gun

The Lipstick Gun is a prop created by Tom Talmon Studio used in the music video for "Judas". It was used to smear lipstick on Judas' face. An image of the gun was released on Lady Gaga's twitter the day preceding the release of the video as a thank you to her fans for trending #JudasVideoTomorrow.[2][3]

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Norman Reedus, who portrayed Judas in the video, discussed the creation of the gun. He stated:[4]

“ That was actually a real last minute thing, I was going in for the kiss and then Jesus and I looked at each other like, "Are we going to make out? What's going to happen?" But then she runs over in that outfit and she goes, "I got an idea! I'm going to pull out this gold gun, one that shoots lipstick out of it, and then I'm going to put it on you!" and then gave me a look like, "Is that cool with you?" and I just said, "Rad!" So she said, "Great!" It was totally last minute. ”

The Lipstick Gun started off as an Air-Soft Desert Eagle. It was then rigged to twist Mac "Ruby Woo" lipstick out of the barrel and finally Gold plated.

Unicorn piano

The Unicorn Piano was created by the Haus of Gaga and was first seen on Good Morning America on Friday, May 27, 2011 during Lady Gaga's performance of "Hair".

The creation features a matte black unicorn with a purple horn atop it's head with a piano constructed into the side of its body. It's tail is constructed from blond and black hair pieces.

Outfits

The Haus of Gaga costume designer Perry Meek created these following outfits. As of now, only the Born This Way outfit was not confirmed to be the work of Perry Meek.

Hairpin sunglasses

The hairpin sunglasses were created by the Haus of Gaga and seen in the music video for "Yoü and I."

2012

Pearl masks

Pearl masks are a creation by the Haus of Gaga. Lady Gaga was seen wearing them upon arrival in Seoul, South Korea, on April 20, 2012.

Disco scepter

The Disco Scepter is the third version of the Disco Stick. Lady Gaga used it for her performance of "LoveGame" on the opening night of The Born This Way Ball Tour. On June 11 2012, Gaga used the prop during Paparazzi, replacing the rifle that was initially used for the performance.
