Eric Javits is a headwear designer who attended at Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied painting and sculpture. Javits opened his women's hat business in 1985. Ten years later he launched the Squishee® hat. Eric has been honored for his outstanding design achievements by being named Hat Designer of the Year and Hat Designer of the Decade 1990-1999. He's member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and his designs are included in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.
