Manuel Arturo José Cuevas Martínez, Sr. or simply Manuel (born April 23, 1933 in Coalcomán Michoacán, Mexico) is a Nashville-based designer known for the garments he created for prominent rock and roll and country music acts since 1970. He attended the University of Guadalajara and majored in psychology.

  1. Black short jacket, which is embroidered in gold and set with thousands of silver & jet Swarovski crystals. Lady Gaga bought a vintage jacket originally made for Jody Benham Coe from Goodbuy Girls store in Nashville.
  2. Bespoke hat by Gladys Tamez was customized with a headband from Manuel Couture to match her jacket. The headband can be fastened with snap buttons.
  3. Yellow duster that features a single button-closure, peaked lapels, black contrast piping and hand-stitched black arrow detailing on the front, back and sleeves. The pink silk scarf (pictured is a similar yellow one [3.1]) is custom embroidered with red roses, Swarovski crystals and Gaga’s aunt’s name and album’s title “Joanne”. Lady Gaga was photographed with Manuel Cuevas.
  4. Boots by Tres Outlaws Boot Co were customized by Manuel Couture.
