Unicorns are mythological creatures that resemble horses with a horn on their head. The word for unicorn in Latin is unus, which means "one", and cornus "horn". It symbolizes purity (all aspects) and strength.

In 2013, The Unicorn was later repainted white for the American Music Awards (November 24th, 2013) as Gaga's prop for the red carpet. In the video "Life In Looks" for British Vogue, recorded in October 2021, Lady Gaga revealed that the prop was made out of Chanel purses.
