Jean-Claude Jitrois

Jean-Claude Jitrois is a French designer was born in 1944 in Narbonne, and he founded his fashion label in 1983. He grew up in Aix-en-Provence, and with eighteen years old, he moved to Paris, where studies at the Salpêtrière Hospital. He wrote several reference books in the field of psychomotor: What Do I Know in 1972, Body and Graphic (psychomotor Expression of the child in drawing and painting) to PPE editions in 1975 or Psycho-Relaxation Syntonics by Editions Universitaires in 1976. He works and teaches psychomotor until 1976, when he opened his first boutique, rue de l'Escarène Tonduti in Nice. It will rub shoulders there artists of the School of Nice as Caesar, Ben, or Niki de Saint Phalle. It will open on the heels two other shops on the French Riviera, Juan-les-Pins and Saint-Tropez. In 1983 he opened his first own-name boutique in Paris at 38 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. In 2001, Jitrois was decorated with the Legion of Honour and an Officer of the Legion of Honour in March 2012.
