Katy Rodriguez initially made her mark in fashion in the Nineties as the co-founder of Resurrection. She lived in New York for nearly a decade before moving to California to open Resurrection Los Angeles. Early on, Rodriguez also collaborated with her business partner, Mark Haddawy, on a collection they called caitie et marc. In 2000, she designed a capsule collection with the artist Raymond Pettibon, based on his ink on paper drawings. In 2005, she started to design her own eponymous line. In 2007, Rodriguez was selected to participate in the prestigious California Design Biennial at the Pasadena Museum of Art. In 2008, Katy received the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award for starting trends that resonate both nationally and internationally. Katy Rodriguez has presented her collections in Los Angeles, New York, and Paris Fashion Weeks.
