Leandro Cano is a Spanish designer was born in Jaen, a little town in Andalucía. When he was 16, he moved to Granada to study Graphic Design and Photography. He moved to Seville to study Fashion Design, while studying, he was selected to participate in several contests, as Pasarela Abierta in Mucia or MOVE in Seville. After finishing his degree in Seville, the Leandro Cano brand was established in 2012. He showed his first collection in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The name of this collection was “Buffet”, and was widely accepted by both the press and general public. Additionally, that year Leandro was one of the 5 finalists of the “Designer for Tomorrow” contest, sponsored by Marc Jacobs and where more than 360 contestants participated. Leandro won the contest and so his “Buffet” collection was shown at the final of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.
