After few months into the promotion of her album, controveries arrose from accusation of lip-syncing at an Australian live morning show to a media exaggerated backlash with Christina Aguilera who was "completely unaware of [Gaga]" and "didn't know if it [was] a man or a woman." The controversy of that era peaked with a rumor that Gaga was a hermaphrodite / intersex following her performance on Glastonbury in June of 2009. Learn more
