Producers Guild of America

The Producers Guild of America Awards was originally established in 1990 by the Producers Guild of America as the Golden Laurel Awards, created by PGA Treasurer Joel Freeman with the support of Guild President Leonard Stern, in order to honor the visionaries who produce and execute motion picture and television product.

January 23, 2016[]

PGA announced on January 21 that Lady Gaga will appear at the 27th Annual Producers Guild Awards to perform "Til it Happens to You”, the critically acclaimed, Oscar®-nominated song from the feature documentary, THE HUNTING GROUND. Producer Amy Ziering will accept the film’s 2016 Stanley Kramer Award during the PGA’s ceremony, January 23, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

THE HUNTING GROUND weaves together verité footage and first-person testimonies, following sexual assault survivors as they pursue their education while fighting for justice. From the team behind the Academy Awards® nominated THE INVISIBLE WAR, THE HUNTING GROUND is written and directed by Kirby Dick and is produced by Amy Ziering. "Til it Happens to You" was announced as an Oscar nominee for Best Original Song, and is written by Diane Warren and Lady Gaga and performed by Lady Gaga.
