Royal Variety Performance is a gala evening held annually in the United Kingdom, which is attended by senior members of the British Royal Family, usually the reigning monarch.

Lady Gaga wore a red latex dress, inspired by Queen Elizabeth I. It had intricate ruffles, sparkled eye make-up, and solid red lipstick. She sported a natural blonde wig with two red patches that cover the side of the eyes. While on the chair, she was hoisted 10 feet up in the air, attached to a chain. The piano had legs that representing those supporting the giant elephants in the Salvador Dali painting, "The Temptation of St Anthony". It was held at the Opera House Theatre in Blackpool.
